HEATING:

COOLING:

There’s an air conditioner built in to the dining room cabinets on the north wall. A housing on the outside has a screen that is removable with a Styrofoam insulation board behind the screen. When using the AC unit in the summer, remove the screen and insulation board, then reinstall the screen. This allows the heat generated by the AC unit to escape.

A second way to use the AC unit is to install the curved wooden duct which funnels the cool air through a duct in the north wall and exits in the toe space of the built-ins in Bedroom #2. There is a wall mounted switch under the windows on the east wall which remotely controls the AC unit to allow off/on control from the bedroom.
